Deleting your custom folder basically means that you will delete most of your personal data while preserving the operating system and applications that you have installed. There is still a safe erase option when you go this route, but it will keep everything on your hard drive outside of your user folder. Anything outside the user’s folder will remain on the hard drive, so this is only really useful for computers that you used exclusively for work or those that you give to a trusted family member.
