Don’t Eat a Wet Sandwich Smearing Each Slice With Olive Oil
A wet sandwich can mean a spoiled lunch. By lightly spreading olive oil on each slice of bread, you gain extra flavor and create a barrier to keep moisture out.
Gum Diaz, co-founder of MoData, shares his simple tip on Quora: Apply some butter to the inside of both slices of bread. You don’t need too much, so just dip a clean knife into the bottle and spread evenly. Olive oil is probably better for flavor, but most oil-based spreads will work as well. Butter may work too , but not everyone can use butter on a sandwich. However, if the ingredients for the sandwich are too wet, you may be better off folding the plastic wrap when packing the sandwich.
