Alloy Automates Tasks in Almost Any IOS Application

Automation on iOS is surprisingly effective with tools like Workflow , but if that’s none of your business, Alloy is a new app that takes on many of the same tasks as Workflow, but in a different style.

Like Workflow, Alloy helps you create microapplications that run specific tasks, similar to something like Automator in OS X. That way, you can create actions that allow you to do things like navigate to a specific location on Google Maps or post all your watermarked photos to Facebook. You create these activities yourself with runtime workflows and then run them from Alloy.

Unlike Workflow, Alloy is quite difficult to use, and most of the language is only intended for the most tech-savvy of us. However, it offers a bit more flexibility than Workflow, so you can customize your actions even more. If you’ve tested Workflow and feel like it’s not powerful enough, Alloy is worth taking a look at.
