Make a Pneumatic Powered Industrial Broom to Quickly Clear Debris From the Floor

This air-powered broom cleans floors faster than a traditional broom and costs less than $ 15 to make.

Workshop clutter leads to dirt entering your home, and debris is more likely to end up in your tools and equipment. Standard brooms and shop vacuums are effective, but this air-powered broom is much more fun.

You will need 1/2 in. PVC pipe, plugs, tee, air valve, and sleeve to make an air brush. Drill 1/16-inch holes in the shorter ends of the broom and tilt them towards the center to keep air from carrying everything around the shop.

Any air compressor will power the broom. Maintain pressure no more than 50 psi, which will make the debris more manageable. Blow / sweep the dirt into the area to be collected or vacuumed.

You use this brush with sawdust at your own risk, as small particles may churn. It is a good idea to wear a respirator and safety goggles. Watch the video above to see how the air brush is assembled and applied.
