Grill Virtually Any of Your Favorite Snacks and Amplify the Flavor
Coal Journey will suit just about any meal, as this video from Bon Appetit (featuring The Brothers Green) shows. You also don’t need to use fancy coals or special ash – they even grill pizza leftovers, stale donuts and other things from the fridge, and it works out great.
Since many of you are big fans of the grill all year round (why not?), The next time you try to get a bunch of leftover food out of the fridge, consider lighting up the grill and serving them all the good toast. … Sure, you probably don’t want to be in trouble with just a slice of pizza left over yesterday, but if you have a lot of leftovers or really want to bring that pizza back to life, this is not a bad idea. Honestly, they use the amazing (and expensive) binchotan to make coal, but we bet you can go pretty far with your own coal or firewood, whatever that may be.
Speaking of pizza, they point out in the video that pizza benefited greatly from a few minutes on charcoal. Just a few minutes on the grill gave the cheesy, limp cold pizza a new lease of life on charcoal. See how donuts are doing, as well as some prosciutto and even some fried chicken.
