Notes Exporter Backs up All Your Apple Notes As Plain Text
Mac: If you’ve used Apple Notes on iOS or OS X, you probably have a ton of stuff stored there. Technically, this should all be backed up to iCloud, but if you want to make your own backup, or just want to keep Apple Notes entirely, Notes Exporter is the tool for that.
When you launch Notes Exporter, it will scan your notes, then extract everything and turn them into plain text files. If you’ve used the new Rich Text Notes in Notes for iOS 9 and El Capitan, Notes Exporter won’t work with them, but otherwise it does the job. From there, you can either import the TXT files into another note-taking app, or simply upload them to a cloud server for additional backup.
