Top Airports in the World According to Travelers

Some airports are better than others. Maybe their staff is very friendly. Maybe their terminals are easy to navigate. Or maybe they just have better bathrooms. Based on these and many other indicators, Skytrax has entered the top ten airports in the world.

In its annual World Airport Awards report, travel research firm Skytrax explains its research methodology, based on 13.02 million nominations from customers around the world. 550 airports were included in the survey, which assessed satisfaction on 39 different dimensions, including security wait times, television and entertainment facilities, baggage delivery times, and how easy it is to get through terminals. Singapore Changi Airport ranked first in their overall list. Among the specific lists, Charles de Gaulle Paris Airport was the “most advanced” airport, Tokyo Haneda had the best security system, and Taiwan’s Taoyuan Airport had the friendliest staff.

According to the Skytrax survey, the top 10 airports overall are:

  2. Incheon International Airport
  3. Munich Airport
  4. Hong Kong International Airport
  5. Tokyo International Airport (Haneda)
  6. Zurich Airport
  7. Central Japan International Airport
  8. London Heathrow Airport
  9. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
  10. Beijing Capital International Airport
