Eliminate the Question “What Do You Want to Do?” Discussion With Action Table
We are all trapped in this vicious circle: “What do you want to do tonight?” “I don’t know what you want to do?” This is frustrating. Keep your list of potential activities up to date so you can spend time doing fun things instead of just talking about them.
Whenever I hear about a fun activity, I add it to my spreadsheet (template below). Then, the next time I’m planning out with friends or need a date idea, I open my spreadsheet. I divide classes by times when they can be done (day, night, or anytime) so that I can easily find activities that fit my schedule. For example, a friend recently mentioned how they took and walked the ferry to Angel Island. It felt like a great day trip, so I added it to the Day tab. Start your own list of activities to be ready the next time someone asks, “What do you want to do?”
