If you are a football fan, you know how difficult it is to know which games will be broadcast in your area. Local teams are usually the obvious first choice, but several more games are streamed throughout the day. FiftyThirtyEight looked at the statistics of what and where they played.
Trying to figure out which game will be broadcast in your area throughout the year is nearly impossible, but statistics can show which games are most likely to be broadcast. Obviously, the games are broadcast most locally, which means the Denver Broncos are shown in and around Denver and the Dallas Cowboys are shown in most of Texas.
More useful are the second most televised teams (which happens to be basically the Dallas Cowboys) and the most televised teams in the NFL in general. None of this guarantees which games you’re going to play on Sundays, but take a look at FiftyThirtyEight to see a ton of graphs to help you at least get a better idea of which games you’re getting.
