Prevent Water Damage to Your Deck by Placing Pot Risers Under the Plants

Houseplants are a great way to add color to your deck or porch, but without proper drainage, water from them can ruin the surface of your deck. Raise your plants with pot risers so the deck surface can dry properly.

Traditional pots trap water underneath and keep air out of the plant to dry out. Some simple risers, like the ones you can get from Amazon , leave space between the deck and the bottom of your pot for air to circulate. Even an inch or two of space allows the deck to dry out between waterings and keeps it from rotting or costly repairs.
