Best IOS Apps Updated With 3D Touch Support
The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have a cool new “3D Touch” feature that lets you press a little harder on the screen to get a second set of menus. However, apps needed an update before they could use this feature, so let’s take a look at some of the best implementations so far.
Most of the apps have been updated with “quick actions”, which allow you to hard-tap an icon on the home screen to open a menu to launch in a specific section of the app. But some also have a peek-and-pop feature where you can preview things like notes or emails without opening a new screen.
- Camera + (Quick Actions)
- Day one (quick action)
- Drafts (Quick Steps)
- Dropbox (Quick Actions / Peek and Pop)
- Evernote (Quick Actions / Peek and Pop)
- Facebook (quick actions)
- Fantastic (fast action)
- Instagram (Quick Actions / Peek and Pop)
- Launch Center Pro (Quick Actions)
- PCalc (custom quick actions)
- Pinterest (quick actions)
- Omni Apps (Quick Actions)
- OpenTable (quick actions)
- Cloudy (quick action)
- Scanner Pro (quick actions)
- Shazam (quick action / Peek and Pop)
- Spark (quick action / Peek and Pop)
- Things (quick actions)
- Twitter (quick actions)
- Workflow (Quick Actions / Peek and Pop)
Of course, other apps have been updated as well, but these are some of the best apps so far. Hopefully, over time, we will see some more interesting applications of this technology. iOS 9 isn’t just about 3D Touch, there are other great updates for older phones as well .
