On the one hand, this type of agreement is not much broader than any other advertising service. On the other hand, it might be exactly what you should avoid when using a VPN. Betternet is still probably good for use on public Wi-Fi or for quick filter bypass, but this is important to remember if you need to do anything that requires any level of security.
