Netflix Is Raising Prices by $ 1, the Standard Plan Will Be $ 9.99 Per Month
Netflix has just announced a new rate hike. The old standard plan, which allowed users to watch HD video on 2 screens at the same time, will now cost $ 9.99 per month instead of $ 8.99.
The company’s website has already been updated to reflect the changes for new customers if you try to sign up for a free trial now. Existing clients will have a different grace period depending on where they live. Ultimately, the price change is not scary. One extra dollar a month likely won’t break anyone’s budget that Netflix can already afford.
It’s also worth noting that this price change doesn’t seem to affect the company’s other plans. You can still get the basic Netflix plan (which lacks HD and limits users to one screen) for $ 8 a month, and the Premium plan with four screens simultaneously for $ 12 a month. It seems that only the standard plan is affected.
