Adobe Lightroom for Mobile Is Now a Completely Free Offline Photo Editor
iOS (and soon Android): Adobe’s mobile version of Lightroom used to require the desktop app and Creative Cloud membership to actually work. Aldeady no. You can now use Lightroom on your tablet and phone to edit photos without a subscription.
You don’t even need an Adobe ID to use it. Just download the app, connect it to your photos, and you can start editing them right away. Lightroom Mobile now also includes a Dehaze filter, a camera feature that lets you take photos from within the app, and additional editing tools.
By removing the requirement to subscribe to the Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan (still an option if you want to sync your edited photos online), Adobe has made Lightroom Mobile more competitive than other popular standalone photo editing apps (see Our Best iPhone Options and Android ).
Lightroom is now available for free for iOS from the links below, and the same update to free for Android is coming soon.
