Peggo for Android Converts Soundcloud and YouTube to Audio for Offline Listening
Android: The previously mentioned Peggo has always been a great tool for capturing audio from YouTube videos or Soundcloud songs so you can listen to it offline like a podcast. The app now brings its functions to Android, so you can listen to your music on the go.
Like its desktop cousin, the Android version of Peggo can also normalize the volume (so you don’t blow your ears out when someone is very loud and someone is quiet, you know these podcasts) and can tone down silence to reduce file size and save you from having to listen to long pauses or pauses in the recorded track. The app also supports YouTube and Soundcloud, which is very useful if you have a long interview or a YouTube program that you prefer to just listen to on the go, or if your favorite podcast is published on Soundcloud but doesn’t allow you to download episodes to listen offline, such as flight. Anything you save offline is also saved at the maximum available bitrate, so you don’t have to worry about losing quality just to listen offline.
Peggo for Android is completely free. It’s not on Google Play, but it’s available on the Amazon App Store, or you can get the APK and download it yourself. Either way, the download links are on the homepage below.
