Online Coupon Codes Are Not Always Displayed on Your Mobile Device
When you shop online, there is a good chance that the seller is offering some kind of promo code and they often tell you what it is in big bold letters right on the site. However, this code is not always displayed on your mobile device.
We have already told you about Paribus. They track your online purchases and will automatically refund you if you bought something in price. (I used it myself – it works!) Anyway, they looked through their details and noticed that one user who happened to be a doorman received significantly more refunds than others because he never used coupon codes. In a blog post, they write:
It didn’t make sense – these promo codes were obvious. HUGE banners at the top of every page. Why did he lack this? When we met, it dawned on us. He worked all day on his feet and made purchases only from the phone. This was his main computer. Banana Republic did not display any coupon codes on phones. He had no way of seeing the codes. He had no idea that he was being charged 40% more than everyone else.
Lesson here? If you’re shopping from your phone or tablet, you may be missing out on obvious savings. Using coupon codes on your desktop is straightforward: they either show up or you can use Honey to apply them automatically . Of course, paribus great for reimbursement of savings after you have purchased the product, but they do not work with each retailer, so if you make a purchase from a mobile phone, it is necessary to quickly search for a promotional code.
