Microwave a Full Spaghetti and Zucchini Dinner in 15 Minutes
Pumpkin Spaghetti is a delicious and nutritious alternative to real pasta noodles . It usually takes 45 minutes to an hour to cook one in the oven, but you can cook a whole half in the microwave much faster.
Steamed pumpkin spaghetti is an easy way to cook them, but Emma Christensen of The Kitchn came up with a way to make it much easier. Cut the pumpkin in half, scoop out the seeds and turn one half over in a glass baking dish. Then pour about 2.5 cm of water into the dish. Microwave the pumpkin for 10 minutes and check how soft it is. It may take a few more minutes to fully soften, but should not take more than 15 minutes. When this is done, use a fork to remove the noodle-like strands. When cooking pumpkin in the microwave, heat up some pasta sauce and you’ll be ready to eat. You can even eat it straight from the pumpkin half itself, without messing up the dishes.
