Divide, Multiply or Adapt Any Recipe in One Click With This Calculator
Let’s say you have a great sheet cake recipe, but you only have round bakeware. Or maybe you have a great pasta salad recipe that only serves the 2 and not the 7 you need it for. You can do a lot of math yourself or use our nifty calculator to scale your recipe.
This calculator can be used to zoom in or out of any recipe. Maybe you cook for two and don’t want leftovers, or maybe you have a recipe for four that you want to cook for a big dinner. This eliminates the need to count every single ingredient and does it all in one fell swoop.
This calculator is especially useful for correcting baking recipes. One inch may not seem like a big difference in pan size, but a 9-inch square pan is more than 25% larger than an 8-inch square pan! This math is even more difficult ( as outlined by Alice Medrich for Food 52 ), but our calculator does it all for you again. Just copy and paste your ingredient list and let it do its job.
Now go ahead and scale as much as you want! (And be sure to let us know if you find any bugs.)
