Be More Productive on Your Next Flight Assuming No Wi-Fi
You can usually check ahead of time if your flight has Wi-Fi , but that doesn’t always mean it will work very well. If you assume that you will not have one, you can prepare in advance and make a plan for a very productive flight.
These days, it seems like the Internet is an absolute must in order to get work done, but work can still happen between network connections. Entrepreneur’s Nina Zipkin explains that an unstable Wi-Fi connection on an airplane doesn’t necessarily mean a lost watch:
When you go through your to-do list, make sure you have loaded all the required documents ahead of time and put off work that you can do offline, such as writing emails to send when you land.
Also open browser tabs and airport emails before boarding. Even if you have decent internet access during the flight, you will have a streamlined work plan to help you get things done faster. You can even buy yourself enough time to catch a few Z’s or watch a movie. If you always plan for the worst-case scenario, everything else is just a privilege.
