Edit Videos Faster With These Premiere Shortcuts
Editing videos can be a tedious and time-consuming process. If you’re using Premiere for editing, these shortcuts will help you get your work done faster.
Editor Lee Morris shows us how his team saves time in editing with Premier keyboard shortcuts. By going to Edit> Keyboard Shortcuts, you can assign Premiere actions to your keyboard. In the video above, Morris shares his assigned keyboard shortcuts and explains that his command uses the keyboard shortcuts on the left side of the keyboard. Thus, they can continue editing without taking their right hand off the mouse.
Morris also mentions shortcuts that are in the program. For instance:
1. Hold Control and Alt while dragging one clip onto another to “swap” the footage.
2. Select the clip and hold Alt, then drag the clip to copy it to a new location.
3. Hold Alt and click on a video or audio track to capture ONLY that item (if audio and video are linked).
4. With the Cut tool selected, hold down Shift and click to reduce the entire height of the timeline. It will save a lot of time if you have multiple video and audio files stacked.
If you are a Premiere user, you will definitely want to watch the video. Read the text version in the message below.
