Use Twine to Cut Hard-to-Reach PVC Pipes, No Tools Required
There are so many wonderful things you can do with PVC pipe . But if the pipe doesn’t fit and you need to cut it without tools, then nylon rope or twine will do the trick.
Concord Carpenter recommends 20 inches of string, which you will need to run to the other side of the pipe. Grasp both ends of the rope – preferably wrap both ends with a piece of wood or a pair of handles for a better grip. Make sure the twine is taut.
Stretch one hand, then pull the other, then pull the first and continue this repetitive movement as quickly as possible. If the pipe moves too much, hold it with your foot or other object. After a while, the twine will cut through the pipe completely.
