Desktop the Forest of the Clouds
The linux desktop by apagajewski reminds us of the approaching cold winter mornings. It is fresh and refreshing, even if it is still as warm as we are. This is how he arranged it.
It hasn’t been a long time since we introduced the Linux desktop, but this one looks appealing. It runs Apricity OS , an Arch Linux distribution. It’s pretty easy to set up, too. If you want to duplicate the look, you will need the following:
- Tunnel view , Yosemite wallpaper , Photo by Robbie Shade
- Conky , a lightweight system monitor for Linux systems
- Conky-Tomorrow theme for Conky
- Arctic Apricity GNOME Shell Theme
- The Dash to Dock GNOME extension for the dock launcher at the bottom of the screen.
- Numix Circle Icon Pack
- Vimix icon theme for status icons
The end result looks pretty clear and we’ve seen some great Linux desktops already. If you’re setting up your own and have questions, need help making it look right, or just want to tell Apagaevsky how much you like his work, head over to his Flickr page (link below) and let him know what we’ve posted. to you!
