Clean Your Paint Brushes by Soaking in Warm Water With a Drying Cloth
If you don’t have paint thinner on hand, you can wash off latex paint from brushes with just a little warm water and a drying cloth.
Latex-based paint can be quite long-lasting if it finds space in the bristles of your paintbrush. Usually a little paint thinner helps, but you may not have it. In the book Why Didn’t I Think About It? , author M. Osterhoudt suggests that you soak your paintbrushes in a bowl or basin of warm water dipped in a drying cloth. Most dryer sheets have acetone , the main active ingredient in paint thinner and nail polish remover, and it will mix with water while it is absorbed. Obviously this won’t work as well as using real paint thinner, but as a last resort it should help. Drying the sheets can be used not only for washing , but also for other purposes , so do not let them to waste .
