Make Delicious Sparkling Soda Cocktails
We would never advise you to go out and buy a Sodastream just to make cocktails like this, but if you have one, you can use it for anything other than soda or seltzer. The VinePair staff have some great cocktail recipes that work really well at Sodastream to make drinks you want to share.
Among the great cocktails offered by VinePair is a delicious carbonated bourbon lemonade (water, lemon juice, stevia or other sweetener and two shots of bourbon), a more sophisticated but great-sounding drink called Hemingway Stars. a sparkling take on the classic Hemingway and a grapefruit and margarita fizzy perfect for a hot day. They are all easy to prepare, they don’t require any solid ingredients (even stevia has to be liquid stevia), and the link below shows you exactly how to prepare them, that is, when the process does not “combine all the ingredients in a Sodastream and press a button.”
Now Sodastream owners may know that the instruction manual says nothing but water should be used in these items – which is usually good advice, as the device can only generate so much pressure to spark water. Denser liquids and solutions, slurries and other thicker liquids may require more pressure, and well, if Sodastream can’t produce it, that CO2 has to go somewhere, right?
We love the approach VinePair takes here (they only fill the bottles halfway and use, for example, recipes that have a lot of water and alcohol with a decent water content) and we are always in favor of voiding the warranty, but still, be careful not to overdo it. if you want to try them at home.
