The site compares the cost of flight in miles for frequent flyers. Just enter your departure city and destination city and you’ll get a general idea of how many miles will cost you that route across a range of different reward programs (MileagePlus, AAdvantage and SkyMiles, to name just a few). Again, this is useful if you use multiple reward programs or just want to know which programs are best for each route. Instead of going to each airline’s website and looking for your bonus miles itinerary, you can do it all in one place and have a quick and easy browsing experience.
It’s a great tool, but it doesn’t take into account the actual cost of miles for each airline. For example, a mile in United’s MileagePlus costs 1.4 cents and an AAdvantage costs 1.8 cents. So in the example above, it looks like United and American are worth the same, but in fact, United is the best deal. It would be nice if the tool took that into account, but you can always look at the cost of miles on a particular airline to see the difference, and it’s still easier than checking prices individually across airlines for comparison.
