When You Leave Work, You Automatically Send a Message to Someone When You Go Home.
iOS: Let’s say you want your spouse or roommate to know when you are driving home from work. It’s easy enough to send them a text message, but Leaving Work can do it for you automatically.
You download the app, allow it to access your location, and then save the recipient’s phone number. The app detects when you left work by accessing your GPS location and, according to the terms, it also collects information from your device’s accelerometer and ambient lighting. When it detects that you have left a job, it automatically sends a text to the number you saved.
You can customize the message text, as well as set the opening hours of the application (useful if you leave the office for lunch). You can also pause it whenever you like. The recipient also doesn’t need to install the app; they will just receive your message as plain text. In the current version, your message will be coming from a different number, so it would probably be wise to notify the recipient. In theirProduct Hunt thread, Chief Business Officer Mikey Renan says they are working to change that.
You must provide an email address and create a password to use the app, although they say they take steps to protect this information from their end. You canread the rest of their privacy policy here and try it out at the link below.
