Create Your Own Motion Control, Time-Lapse Setup
Timelapse photography is great and we’ve certainly seen DIY solutions before . On Make, they demonstrate another way to do this using an Arduino.
This project requires a lot of skills, including creating a housing for the camera, as well as programming the Arduino itself. Eventually, you will have a system where the Arduino will automatically rotate the camera during slow motion while your camera is taking the actual pictures. If you shoot a lot of time-lapse photography, panning will dramatically improve your shots, even if it takes a little time to set up and operate.
