Fall Asleep Faster by Imagining Relaxing Scenes
From doing mental exercises to socks before bed , there are several ways you can try to fall asleep faster . This one might be the most enjoyable: imagine a relaxing scene, for example, at the beach or on your last vacation.
Researchers at the University of Oxford tested 41 volunteers with insomnia and asked them to count sheep, visualize soothing images, or do nothing. They found that at night, when insomniacs performed relaxing scenes, they fell asleep an average of 20 minutes earlier than other nights.
So forget about counting sheep and bring up some nice pictures instead.
