Ideal Temperature for Beer, Coffee and Other Drinks
Depending on how cold or warm the drink is, it tastes differently. Temperature can affect flavor and aroma, and this infographic shows the ideal serving temperatures for beer, tea, wine, coffee, etc.
We have already talked about wine before , and now we will talk about it in more detail. The figure is based on several articles and expert information cited at the bottom of the image. It notes that red fruit wines should be served at 10-15 ° C, which is recommended by the Wine Spectator :
- Full-bodied white wines and light fruity red wines: Serve between 50 ° and 60 ° F for more complexity and aroma of a rich Chardonnay or for a fruity Beaujolais refreshing.
- Full-bodied red wines and ports: Serve between 60 ° to 65 ° F (colder than most room temperatures and higher than ideal storage temperatures) so that the tannins in a strong Cabernet or Syrah appear more elastic and reduce the emphasis on bitter ingredients.
Plus, it uses Celsius, so if you’re using Fahrenheit, keep that in mind for your reference: 0 ° C = 32 ° F and 50 ° C = 122 ° F. Check it out for yourself below.
