Add an Olla Pot to Your Garden and Let It Water
A blooming garden takes a lot of time and effort. Ola, a ceramic pot that you bury in your garden bed, will help you spend less time watering and more time relaxing in the garden.
After you fill the olla with water, it will slowly seep water into the soil. Instead of watering several times a week, you need to refill the olla about once a week and monitor the water level in it. If you live in a particularly hot area, you may need to refill the olla more often, as more water will be lost in evaporation. When filling the olla, check for stagnant water. If there is, be sure to remove it. As a general rule, you shouldn’t have any problems breeding bugs in the water, as the hole of the olla is closed. Olla is also useful for watering your garden beds while on vacation.
