This Figure Shows How to Stay Cool While Sleeping.
Getting a good night’s sleep on a hot day is no easy task, especially without air conditioning, but there are many things you can do to fight the heat. This drawing from the people at the Sleep Club contains tips – some of which we’ve already mentioned earlier – to cool off and get some rest.
You may have already thought of some tips: keep the air moving and circulating around the room with a fan or an open window (which does not lower the temperature, but makes it feel cooler than it really is and encourages moisture to evaporate sweat!), Or freeze a heating pad, wrap it in a towel, and keep it in bed with you as a cool, pleasant bed partner. It is also worth mentioning how to put a bowl of ice in front of the fan, like sleeping in an “Egyptian style” or covering with a slightly damp sheet and nothing else. See the picture below to find out more.
