Make Meaningful Presentations While Focusing on Shared Interests
Often we introduce friends to each other based on what they do or how we know them. It works, but you can give them the opportunity to stop small talk and start a meaningful conversation right away by introducing them to what they have in common.
By focusing on the common interests of your friends, you immediately give them a reason to talk. For example, if both of your friends volunteered for the same reason, you might bring the topic up. If they are both into the same music, mention your favorite band to each other. Are they both movie fans? To begin with, they can’t stop talking about the leaked trailer for the upcoming summer blockbuster. They will immediately be able to delve deeper into the conversation and establish a closer bond with each other .
