Use Dough Trimmings to Make Tiny Tasty Bread Sticks

When you make dough for pie, bread, or pizza, there are always a few pieces of dough left behind. Instead of throwing them away or trying to come up with a new baking dish, turn them into breadsticks that can be used with more dishes.

When you are finished preparing the dish, take all the leftover dough and mix them together. Roll them out to an inch thick and cut into thin strips. Add whatever toppings you like — herbs, salt, pepper, or your favorite dried spices — that’s great. Bake the sticks in the oven at 425 degrees for 10-15 minutes. As they are quite thin, watch out for them so they don’t get too crunchy. You can enjoy these tiny yummy sticks on their own, as a preparation for jam and other sauces, or as an addition to a salad. The end result is a truly versatile snack that would otherwise be wasted.
