Android: Your phone is the center of all the information you need in your daily life. You receive a notification every time one of the installed applications contains information that is important to you. Hooks aim to fill the gap by notifying you of a large number of events outside of certain apps you have installed.
The app has tons of alerts you can subscribe to, including when a new video is added to a specific YouTube channel, when it’s raining in your city, when a specific director is releasing a new movie, and more. As Android Police points out, this is very similar to the channels feature in Pushbullet , but with much more customization.
