Bring Fallen Flowers Back to Life With a Safety Pin
Flowers can really brighten up a room. That is, until they start to fade and fall off, and then they look a little sad. Liven up sad drooping flowers with a safety pin.
Gardening Nirvana says it’s a trick that doesn’t work 100% of the time, but it’s often effective, so it’s worth a try. They write:
Simply insert a pin or needle through the stem of the drooping flower about an inch below the flower. In an hour or two, your flowers will grow. I have used this technique successfully over the years with gerberas, daisies, roses and tulips.
The openings should allow the plant to release air, allowing water to circulate. It’s easy enough to try it on yourself the next time you notice your flowers start to limp. Check out the full post at the link below.
