Google Notification System Is No Longer Just for Google+
Google+ notification system, which appears almost everywhere where you are logged into Google, is undergoing major changes. Now you can get notifications for Google Photos or YouTube. You can even filter out the ones you want to see.
As noted by Android Police, so far, not all settings are available for all users. To see what filtering options you have, click the notification bar at any place where it is available (eg, Gmail), and click the settings icon, as shown above. If you are an avid user of YouTube or photo, you can see the possibility to allow the receipt of notifications from these services without using Google+. It is unclear whether Google will expand the panel to include other services in the future, but it is a welcome change.
