Google Maps Now Warns If Your Destination Is Closed When You Arrive
Google Maps is filled to the brim with useful information about the world you enjoy when shops are closed and how long it will take you to get there. The app will now combine these pieces of information to alert you that the store will be closed by the time you get there.
As Android Police points out, a notification (shown above) will appear if you start navigating to any location that will be closed by the time you arrive. Obviously this will only work where Google has information on opening hours. Unfortunately, he still won’t tell you that going to a friend’s house without warning at 3 a.m. and asking you to crash on their couch is a stupid idea. However, it is still convenient.
