Netflix Gets First Web Interface Update in Four Years
Netflix has experimented with its interface for many years, but there has always been a slight gap between how the service looks in your browser and in your various applications. The company is now revamping its website with a huge user interface change to make it look more like an app.
The new design is intended to be a more dynamic interface rather than a series of separate pages. You can now get more information about the show by hovering over the title and the new information will be displayed in a row rather than redirecting you to a dedicated page specifically for the show. Netflix also says the new interface is designed to work with touchscreens as well as mouse and cursor.
The global rollout begins today, and it can take up to two weeks to reach you. Regular readers of Lifehacker may remember that we have our own Flix Plus extension that lets you customize the Netflix experience . We are currently planning to update it as needed while the new interface is released, so stay tuned!
