Use the Correct Filing Technique to Properly Level Surfaces

Submitting documents seems pretty straightforward. You take a file and then just scratch it across the surface until the object you are processing is as smooth as you want it to be. However, Make notes that there are a couple of different methods to choose from.

You have two main methods: direct feed and draw feed. Here is the difference between the two:

Direct feed:

The first and most basic filing method is called forward filing and involves advancing the file along the job, touching only in the forward motion.

Direct filing is usually used to quickly remove material.

Drawing up of drawings:

If you are aiming for a smooth surface, it is best to use the paint-file technique.

When pulling, the file is held by both ends and is pulled across the material across the material.

Choose the right one and you will get the desired result. Go to Make to find out more.
