We’ve known for a long time that using a credit card or PayPal is the safest way to pay for purchases online . It’s getting a little safer now. If you live in the US, PayPal will now extend its consumer protection to digital purchases such as apps, services, and event tickets.
This type of consumer protection has been available in the UK for just over a year. The new policy now benefits the United States. This means that if you buy any digital goods and find that they are defective, fraudulent, or the company you bought from does not provide services, PayPal will help you resolve the dispute. Many credit cards already offer this type of protection, so it’s good to see PayPal finally take it up a notch as well.
