Why Do You Need a Regular Car Wash If You Live in the North?
Car washes are generally viewed as a cosmetic product. However, if you live in an area with regular snowfall, you should probably wash your car regularly anyway. Cause? Salt on the roads can cause rust on your car parts.
As one Reddit user points out, there are a number of parts in your car that can rust when exposed to salts, which are often used on snowy roads. These include (but are not limited to) your brakes, fuel lines, radiator, electrical system, and more. Some states are exploring alternatives to the salts currently in use, but in the meantime, washing cars regularly in the winter is a good idea. And if you haven’t received them, it doesn’t hurt to get them even now, in the summer.
