Clean a Dirty Polishing Wheel in Seconds With a Sanding Belt

Over time, the buff will collect dirt and debris that can scratch polished metal surfaces. There is an easy way to clean your wheels that will extend their life and make them shinier.

Polishing wheels are used to remove very fine surface irregularities in metal, steel, aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel. When finished, the polished surface will be smooth to the touch and have a mirror-like shine.

The best way to clean the buff is to use a new 36 grit sanding belt and lightly apply it to the buff when it is turned on. This will remove very little material from the wheel and leave the surface free of particles. This will not affect the sanding belt and can be used like new.

Use protective equipment, including a mask and eye protection, to protect yourself from small particles. Watch the video to see how it’s done.
