Amazing Amazon Prime Benefits You May Have Forgotten

If you’re shopping online, Amazon Prime membership is easy for just free two-day shipping. But that’s not all that Prime membership gives you. Here are some of the benefits you may have forgotten.

If you’ve forgotten that Amazon offers other services, or just assumed that your membership fee only covered shipping, there are some benefits you should take advantage of:

  • Prime Music : Everyone and their mother is trying to get you to pay for premium music streaming services, but you’re probably already paying for them without realizing it. Prime Music gives you unlimited ad-free access to Prime Playlists and over a million songs. You can even download songs for offline playback.
  • Prime Instant Video : If Netflix and Hulu don’t have what you’re looking for, Amazon’s video streaming service offers Prime members plenty of free movies and TV shows. You can also stream to your browser, tablet, and even consoles.
  • Prime Photos : A Prime membership gives you unlimited – yes, unlimited – storage for your photos on Amazon Cloud Drive. You also get an extra 5GB of free storage that you can use for whatever you want (videos, music, etc.).
  • Prime Pantry : As a core member, you can shop at stores, at home and at pets online. There is a flat $ 5.99 shipping fee per order, but you can buy as many items as you fit in the box. If you plan ahead for your purchases, you will definitely pay off.
  • Prime Early Access : Prime members can check out Lightning Deals 30 minutes before everyone else. Many of these deals are on a first come, first served basis, so early access is essential to get some of the best stuff.
  • Checkout library for Kindle owners : If you have a Kindle e-reader, Fire tablet, or Fire phone, you can check out one book from the checkout library every month. When you borrow an e-book, there are no deadlines, but the titles available may change from month to month, so stay tuned. You can’t easily browse the entire disbursing library, but there is an easy way to get around it. As a Prime member and owner of a Kindle, you are also eligible for the Kindle First program, which gives you a free “Editor’s Choice” book every month. These are two free books a month that you could read!
  • Amazon Mom : If you’re a new parent or just a guardian, Amazon Mom is a free Prime member program that lets you save money on subscriptions for products like baby wipes. You also get a 20% discount on subscriptions for selected diapers. If you’re a parent, you don’t need me to tell you how cool it is.
  • Membership Sharing : Many people forget this, but this is a valuable bonus: you can invite another person to share the benefits of free shipping on your Prime membership at no additional cost to you or them. (Technically, they should be in the same home, but Amazon doesn’t restrict you from sharing this with people at the same shipping address so you can share it with anyone.) You can also share the other benefits of Prime – instant video playback, music, and more – with up to six other people as long as they’re assigned an “adult” in your home on Amazon .

Amazon Prime membership costs $ 99 a year, but it’s more than just free shipping. Heck, some areas are starting to receive same day delivery for Prime members . However, keep in mind that all of these perks are for full Prime membership. The Amazon Student membership is initially free and costs less, but may not include all of the perks listed here.

Make sure you get your money back, too. If a Prime qualifying package arrives after the guaranteed two-day delivery date, Amazon will renew your Prime membership for a full month (and you can do this up to 12 times a year). If you use an Amazon Store Card, you get a pretty nice 5% cashback as a Prime member . You can also opt out of the free two-day Prime delivery and earn music, videos, or ebooks whenever you want. If you don’t have Prime, it has a lot to offer. If you already have one, make sure you make the most of it.
