Treat Your Saved Music Streaming Library Like a CD to Limit Your Choices
When you have almost every recorded album at your fingertips, what do you listen to? Streaming services like Spotify and Rdio are sometimes almost impossible to decide on. Both have save functions and you can use them to limit your choices.
When I was discussing with a friend of mine last week about remembering to listen to new albums, he said that he does not browse or add to favorites, does not add everything to his library and does not add. Instead, he keeps a rotating set of albums – 30 or so – and adds or removes as he goes, just like he did with a CD book in his car in the 90s. I started doing the same thing, and as silly as it sounds, it works really well when you don’t know what to listen to.
