This Video Explains Why Coffee Should Only Be Drunk at Certain Times.
If you drink coffee when you wake up or during your lunch break, you are doing it wrong.
The lovely guys at AsapScience explain how our natural circadian rhythm increases cortisol levels at specific times during the day: 8am to 9am, 12pm to 1pm, and 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This is the worst time to drink coffee because instead of supplementing with the alertness-raising cortisol, the effect of the caffeine in coffee on us actually diminishes and we need more of the drug to get us high.
Therefore, it is best to drink coffee outside of these hours. We’ve seen this tip before , but the video above offers a few additional details and explanations, such as when we go to bed or wake up, with little regard for the release of cortisol, which is regulated by sunlight. However, cortisol levels can rise 50% after we wake up, so if you get up sooner or later, just wait at least an hour before using this java.
