Improve Coordination and Concentration With Agility Ladder Workouts
Footballers and soccer players have sworn allegiance to footwork exercises for years, and these workouts are becoming popular in gyms and for home workouts. One easy way to join in the fun: buy or build an agility ladder.
Agility ladders run anywhere from $ 15 to $ 50, but you can improvise by scribbling lines in your driveway or tartan floors. There are no hard and fast rules for sizing, but 16-inch squares are typical.
Exercises include getting in and out of the box in order to achieve speed and accuracy. Some argue that this is too limited to be considered “agility,” but ladder exercises can definitely help with concentration and coordination, as well as engage the muscles involved in core balance and strength. Fast leg work means these exercises are also considered interval cardio. If you are looking for a ladder workout check out this one from Thrive.
