Take Pride in Your Side Jobs to Be More Productive.

If you have a second job , it might confuse you. However, if you are open about your work, you will be able to make the most of your time without worrying about what others will find out about your side gig.

Chelsea Fagan, writing for The Financial Diet, puts this in perspective:

But feeling embarrassed about all of this is stupid and completely unproductive. We all need to do what we have to do, and sometimes that can mean hiding your financial realities in order to get more money from your employer or client, to avoid exploitation and to fall into the trap of the cycle “your time is not worth it. nothing, because no one will pay for it. ” It’s just an opportunity to gain a foothold in many industries, and there is nothing to be embarrassed about.

By talking openly about your side talk, you make planning your social life or family events much easier. When everyone knows you have another job or a job that you are committed to, they often understand your schedule better.

Keep in mind that your employer may not approve or be happy to hear that you have a second job, so there are times when it’s best not to talk about it. But as long as you are legally allowed to do a part-time job and are able to get things done in your main job, having a part-time job will help you focus more on your entire job.
