Add Work Samples to Your LinkedIn Profile for More Information

LinkedIn is a great way to showcase your professional skills. And with so many online profiles, you want yours to stand out when you’re looking for a job. One easy way to do this? Add media to your profile.

Muse notes that most recruiters spend no more than 10 seconds looking at a profile. To help them see yours longer, LinkedIn Career Expert Katherine Fisher recommends making your profile more engaging. Here’s what they offer:

Drawing a blank? Open your resume and go through the list. Everyone represents an achievement or a responsibility, right? You just have to choose one (to start with) that can be presented visually. (And yes, you have to get a little creative here.) For example, you may have been part of a successful product launch team. If so, add a press release, blog post, or project completion announcement to your profile. Or maybe you work for HR. Find the PowerPoint you used in the training seminar, or the link to the new office engagement program you started, or the page from the employee manual that you helped write. Have you ever given a speech or performed? Use video from the event or, if not available, promotional material. Have you ever made a presentation? Upload your slides. Have you ever written a blog post for a company? Share the link. Has your company received positive press coverage? This is also fair play.

This is a fairly simple solution, and it can also help you find out how recruiters are looking at your profile . For more tips follow the link below.
