Remove Odor From Humidifier With Borax
Over time, humidifiers can pick up odors from bacteria, mold, or simply stagnant water. You can get a fresh scent again with borax.
All you have to do is dissolve about 1/2 cup borax in a gallon of water and add it to your humidifier. Let it run for 10-15 minutes, then flush the tank, add clean water and you’re done. White vinegar works well too, but if you don’t like the smell of vinegar, borax is a great alternative.
