This Chart Shows the Average Cost Per Budget for a Wedding.
Wow, the average wedding costs $ 31,213, and brides wear dresses they only hope to wear after they cost an average of $ 1,357.
These details are taken from The Knot poll, which included nearly 16,000 brides and grooms who got married in 2014. Unsurprisingly, the reception area accounts for most of the wedding expenses. However, other items strike me as surprisingly high, such as $ 439 for invitations.
The average is likely skewed by people hosting lavish weddings. If you’re planning a wedding, it might be helpful to see at least how each budget line affects the overall cost. Perhaps you can save tens of thousands on your wedding and then not regret overspending.
